Nearly one in five Malaysian adults, or 18.3%, has diabetes, says the Health Ministry.

A recent survey showed that an estimated 3.9 million Malaysians aged 18 and above are suffering from diabetes – quoted by The Star on 29 May 2020.

What are the complications of having diabetes? 

  1. Stroke
  2. Heart attack
  3. Lack of blood supply to extremities ( eg. Toes)
  4. Kidney damage
  5. Eye damage
  6. Nerve damage
