Dr. Jayamalar Thurairajasingam is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon who has dedicated more than 25 years in medical career. Dr. Jaya completed her Masters of Orthopaedic from Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2004 and further subspecialized in Spine fellowship in 2013.

Dr. Jayamalar is currently the Head of Orthopaedic Spine service of Hospital Sultan Ismail, Johor Bahru. She specialized in the management of spine cases ranging from various spine trauma, degenerative spine diseases, scoliosis, spine infection, tumors of the spinal cord and pain management in chronic back pain.

Dr. Jayamalar has presented in numerous international meetings and published widely in various medical journals. Dr. Jaya also gained additional training in Germany in minimal invasive spine surgery and many other courses in various countries such as Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Brunei and Italy. She is also actively involved in spine specialist surgeon training for various spine surgeries.
